Some of the hummingbirds spotted in my backyard in Sierra Vista, Arizona. (And one in Montana😉)
Show-off broad-billed looking you in the eye as he flies.
Closeup of an Anna’s . He has a bit of gunk on the beak.
Bird on a stick and gunk on the beak which is probably pollen. He’s an Anna’s.
The Anna’s tongue is in focus. The rest of the bird, not so much.
Broad-billed flying.
Little immature male rufous flying. This was during a chaotic, four-species hummingbird rumble in my backyard.
Bird on a stick; black-chinned , I think.
A young rufous flying, ascending, and twisting. Probably to attack another hummingbird.
Female or immature black-chinned flying in my backyard. Notice the missing wing feathers.
A young male Anna’s. Some of the feathers are starting to reflect magenta.
Female or immature black-chinned(?) with tongue out and flying. They use their tongues like straws to siphon nectar out of the feeders.* Sort of like that movie where the one guy drinks the other guy’s milkshake.
Bird on a stick. A broad-billed in the mesquite.
Here’s an Annas’ flying with gunk on the beak.
A rufous flying towards the feeder to attack another hummer. Did I already say they’re little thugs? (Montana)
Colorful Anna’s male reflecting red.
Male broad-billed flying,
Black-chinned flying towards the feeder. In the hierarchy of hummingbirds in my backyard, black-chinned are the least aggressive.
Black-chinned hummingbird’s purple iridescence. Yeah, when the light hits just right, the black part reflects blue or purple.
Male Anna’s flying, and feathers reflecting red and magenta.
*This, of course, is completely not true.

The details and clarity of the pictures as well as the way you captured the stunning colors of all the different species, in flight and at rest, is stunning. You are not a photographer, but rather an artist. Foto ndị a na-akpali akpali. Daalụ maka ịkekọrịta . Ọ na-atọ m ụtọ imeta ndị enyi gị..
